This was also my first attempt at using Windows Movie Maker ( is that what you both use ? ) I was pretty happy with the result but like setting up the AI, I have to get the time down. Pretty easy package but I was up til 2:30am.
I use software from AVS -
http://www.avs4you.com/index.aspxFirst I use
AVS Video Converter to convert the AVCHD format that the Panasonic DMC-FT1 uses to AVI.
Then I edit the video in
AVS Video Editor. I think any video editing needs practice. I used to use Pinnacle software that came withe a video capture card. It was so buggy, slow and prone to crashing. Much happier with the AVS software.
You can download trial copies from the website. I paid the unlimited subscription US$59 which allows me to use any of the software packages and unlimited updates.
Anyone use anything else? I must admit I've never used MS Movie Maker.
