Living in the Virgin Islands we have the good fortune to be able to sail year round. The usual 15-20kt wind and 2-4 ft seas really enables you to learn how to sail in some of the best conditons you can imagine. We are really spoiled here with the typical conditions and usually dont even go out with the breeze 10kts or less. I've done a lot of plumbing, and I can weld like a certified master. :P

Theres got to be other jobs in St. Croix than just the refinery.

in the not too distant future there will be a 600 million dollar project starting at the refinery ,welders will be a top priority,,,,,

theres going to be a turnaround on a unit in the near future ...might be worth looking into,,,couple months,,,probably 1,200-1,500 a week.....
