Looks great but i would be a little concerned you may be mistaken for a power boat with the port/starboard lights.

yes that is the light i have
the u clamp it comes with has two holes on the bottom and side of the bracket.
i cut the side of the u clamp with out any holes to make an L shaped bracket and i bolted one side of that bracket to the deck behind the main sheet pulley and in front of the rudder when it is pulled on deck. the rudder rests on the part of the L bracket that is bolted to the deck.

Great economical solution for the stern light.

Here is my recent effort using a Kayalite for the stern light and the Kayalu base for the bow light.

I was attracted to the Kayalite is because of its minimal mounting requirements - namely just a saddle. I was previously considering using the same light you have on the stern and making a plug in the deck with a rollick pin socket.

Det

How about some details on your bow lights? Manufacturer? Source?

umm about that... I don't know the manufactuer of the lights... I think I'll have to open up the lights and see if I can find a company name.

As for the source these lights are road hazard lights from the automotive section of my local Wal-mart super center. I think they are used to direct traffic in an emergency I think the pair of them cost like $6 or so

I'll post a reply when I find out who the manufactuer of these lights is.
