Jim Salazar

Home waters:

Buggy. That’s one way to affectionately describe Jim Salazar, famous for writing the book on lobster hooping and for chasing bonus-sized crawdads in crystalline mountain waters. He’s no one-trick pony. Salazar, hopelessly addicted to kayak fishing, loves to hunt halibut and yellowtail in Santa Monica Bay and beyond. He spends most of his fishing time on a Mirage Pro Angler 14, but the Mirage Adventure Island is his warm-water favorite.
