Got a hobie for cheap. The hulls are rock solid compared to my last two. The previous owner had stored the pontoons on the ground with the access ports open (after market holes in front of pylons) so some field mice had a very comfy home. I’m trying to get most of the grass out but it’s pretty tough to get the grass towards the rear of the hull. Should I even care? I don’t want it to become a swamp in there.

Can you suck it out with a shop vac? Or maybe flush it to the rear of the hull with a hose and pull it out through the drain plug opening.

I think the biggest concern would be that it clogs the opening under the pylon shoes and/or the drain plug causing water to become trapped in the hull.

Exactly what I was thinking. I’ve been using the shop vac. It can only get so far. I used a golf club to try to take the grass to a spot where I could vacuum. It’s filled with sticks so the shop vac gets clogged recently. I think now I’m going to try to fill it with water and tip it forward so the rest floats to the front where I can pull/vacuum it out.
