Newbie here.
Also new to Hobie.
I searched the forums for this answer and could not locate the answer.

2019 Hobie Mirage Compass Duo
The front hatch looks to be shorter, or less deep, than the rear hatch. I would like to purchase two of the 71704021 Deep Gear Buckets, but want to make sure it will fit in the front hatch OK. Rear hatch looks fine.

The deep gear bucket fits in both hatches of my Compass Duo. Just a heads up, there may be slight variations in hull shape and size even amongst kayaks of the same model. So, I canʻt guarantee that what works on my kayak will work on yours. Good luck and congratulations on your new kayak!

TBD. i just installed the rectangular hatch. (that gasket for the lid is a really good time! haha).

i will try to drop the box in from my buddies PA12. visually, it looks like have no shot. it looks shallower to the bottom of the boat. my luck, one corner will be short.

i have the BerleyPro box in my waiting list. i am considering the seat riser kit as well. but $100 is a lot for less than an inch.
