Mesh Pocket Replacement for Hobie Quest 13

I need to replace my mesh pocket because it has been stretched out too much.

- How easy it is to replace? Will the existing screws be water tight if I reuse them for the new mesh? Do I need to add Goop to the screws when installing the new mesh?
- I noticed a hookless stowage pocket (78561001) in the brochure. Should I use this instead of the mesh? I don't understand the difference between this and the mesh pocket.

The hookless is rubber pocket. It's bigger. I like it better then the cloth mesh. I actually can fit more in it and no problems with hooks. It's also easier to open. It fits in the cloth mesh trim. Just unscrew, and open the two halves of the trim. The mesh is a direct replacement for the cloth. No problem with the screws leaking after removing them and reinstall.

I'm pretty sure that the holes are 'blind' so leakage is not a problem as they don't go through into the hull

I just changed over my mesh pockets on my outback to rubber ones as I found the mesh to be hook magnets, particularly trebles. I also use rubber catch & release nets for the same problem plus it is easier on the fish, when & if I catch one.

In my 2013 Revolution, the tips of the screws extend into the area inside the gunwales of the kayak, but the screws fit tightly enough that they won't leak.
