Lost the frame, but still have the 2 30cm wheelez :)

So the question is: is there a way to buy the frame only ? I have about $150 in wheels that I wont have use for, if I buy a whole new Trax-2

I modified stock frame a long while back (3+ years ago) - removed the tube axle and replaced it with solid 1/2 SS rod.

LOVED that cart, she was indestructible ...

You can order the frame alone from any Hobie dealer - part # 80043000 ($89.99) - to find a dealer click here: http://www.hobiecat.com/dealers/

If the Trax 2-30 frame is like the Trax 2 frame then the solid rod 1/2" axle should come standard, saving you labor as well.
Would that be right Hobie?

Picked up the cart (only took a few days for it to get delivered from Hobie to my local dealer in PA).

She is perfect !

- solid axle (! yay !)
- pins are included
- they welded "washers" to keep the wheels at proper distance from the frame so it doesn't rub. So no need to make spacers
- top quality
- my 30cm Wheeleez fit like a glove (after all the cart was designed for these).

On my prev cart, I installed a piece of wood with generous foam padding atop of the cross member. Wanted THAT to take the weight of the kayak, as opposed to using collars. That worked great for few years. Not sure if I want to replicate that w/ the new cart or instead, rely on collars/spacers - but then all the load will be in the scupper holes/inserts.

Can we see some before & after pics? I think I have the same wheels. My cart has the broken weld on the cross bar, it drives me crazy.....
