I never use the interior space for much
In my 2010 ai. I have a case of noodles in now and it kept me sailing even though i had a large tri crack develop while sailing in breezy conditions in grand traverse bay. I think in the future with a new hull I'll put as many as i can fit without interfering with the rudder control bottom line... pool noodles good... especially if you're very far from shore.

I use them fairl packed in there apart from storage areas. the form effective bulkheads so that I can use the whole of the center area under mid hatch for storage without having stuff slide out of reach.

Important point tough if you have bouyancy at back and little at nose it could float nose down making pumping out from front hatch difficult/impossible
