On the bottom of the '07 hulls there are two adjoining , what look like plastic plugs. On the other side , inside the hull are poly nubins for accepting the mast step.

One came out of the fwd one. Don't know how it happened.

Looking insidefrom the bottom of the hull is a threaded female fitting which evidently accepts a hold down screw for the mast fiiting inside. The piece is surrounded by the poly nubin.

So the plastic plug that fits in there.

A. Will it's absence casue a leak?

B. Is it threaded so that it screws in or just a button thing with a wedge thingambob?

C. Do I really need it, and if so what's the part number? Nothing I could find in the catalog.

In any case I filled the thing with silcione and taped over the bottom. Figured that would be OK until I get an answer, and I can always wire brush the silicone out if this part is threaded.

No leak during 5 hour fishing trip.
