Where is the water coming from when I turtle?

So I did the shopvac on blow leak test and didnt find anything blowing bubbles when rightside up.

But everytime I turtle, I end up with some significant water in the hull. Given I have my 12v 5A battery in there, I would like to try to minimize that.

Where do you think the water is coming in on a turtle. My best guess is the front hatch which doesnt seem that tightly closed and I could see letting some in on a flip and roll back upright.

Thoughts? (might have to just live with it and pack a pump when Im planinng on sailing or going out/in through surf (its the in through surf where I roll it normally, get turned alittle by a wave and your history))

If you sail your Revo a lot, consider adding some outriggers which should prevent turtling. I use the SideKicks on my Revos and they work well. There are some aftermarket kits available, and details on building your own here on this forum.

Yea Archae--that would be my guess since those front hatches are in no way waterproof when upside down. The front hatches are designed to prevent water inflow due to rain or water splashing over the deck. As c101 said, get or make some outriggers if this is much of a problem.

As noted, the outriggers are available thru Hobie now, or you can have some fun and build your own. Good luck.
