We have a 2008 Revolution. While at the local shop we noticed they had changed the rudder up and down control from a lever to pull handle. Is is possible to change over to this type system? If so, how does one go about getting the newer system?

It is possible to do the change over. The factory is working on the kits, last I heard anyways. I'm sure mmiller will correct me if I'm wrong.

G'Day janetandfred,
The AI was the first to get the upgrade. Reading the posts about the upgrade will give you some idea of what is involved. I have done a couple of AI's and would be confident I could upgrade any of the kayaks. It's not that hard. Until the factory releases a kit I'm sure you could adapt the AI kit to fit the Revo if you didn't want to wait.

Will Hobie notify us of the kit to upgrade the Revolution or will we have to watch for it? We won't be using the kayaks for awhile, at least April. Hopefully, the kit is available by then.
