The Mirage ProAngler. Very cool. Exactly what they try to promote. It really has everything you need for fishing. The quality appears to be what you would expect for the money. You are getting what you pay for. I'm sure all of you know more of what to look for than I do , since this is all new to me but most could tell the difference between something of poor quality and something made well. This is made well for sure. Since this was my first time to see the Mirage Drive System I found it very interesting and also made of good quality. I liked the small plugs (I don't know the correct name) that can be used to attach bungee cords to, or can be replaced with small cleats if thats what you want. They are scattered around the kayak which comes in handy. The seat is very comfortable and adjustable. The rod holders are capable of holding atleast an 8' rod. The mounting boards on both sides where you can mount extra rod holders or GPS are nice and can be simply unscrewed and replaced if you drilled it for mounting and wanted alittle different setup in the future. The storage in the bow is large, you can put alot of stuff in there if you want. I liked the way the rudder is raised and lowered too with a spring loaded cord. That was cool and the way it simply pushes upward if you drifted over something like a thick tree branch in the water. They had two PA's, one in dune and one in the moss. The dune is the one for me. I'm trying to think of everything I can remember since I walked around alot too but like a magnet I seemed to wind up back at the ProAngler checking it out even more. The non slip pads for standing on so you can cast while standing were nice too. Although they weren't wet they really were some type of a non slip rubber. I liked them. So all in all, my opinion it is really an awesome fishing kayak. It really seems stable which is important to me because although I consider myself a good swimmer, I'm going out to fish not swim. If I want to swim I have a 20 x 40 inground pool for that. Its worth the money and for the price of $2,199.00 everything is included. The paddle, I believe 4 or 5 plano boxes and even the cart. I truly thought they were extra but the rep. said they are all included. A local Hobie dealer phoned me afew days ago and told me he was getting a PA in between April 1st and 3rd so I can take a demo ride. I can't wait. I almost forgot, I tried to lift the PA from the bow and stern and although it is not 40 or 50 pounds, it doesn't seem like a big deal to haul it on a cartop. Lifting the bow up and then sliding the stern forward is not an impossible task. I liked that especially since this is how I'm probably going to transport it. Very cool kayak.
