Hi,
I just sold my OK trident 15 last week and picked up a hobie revolution in papaya flavor. Last night while looking over the new gal , deciding how im gonna rig her, i noticed three small bumps in a triangle formation on the bottom of my hull. When you look under the kayak you see a darkened area where the bumps are. Outside the hull is smooth. Inside the hatch, about 2-3 from center the bumps appear.

Is this something to cause concern? Will it cause cracks? Is this a deformity in the molding process? Is it possible to get this kayak replaced?

Borg, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Revo!

The random accumulation of extra material on the inside is not uncommon with rotomolding -- looks darker because it's thicker (less translucent). I have a very similar spot that I can see from the center hatch also. It shouldn't hurt a thing. Enjoy your new boat! 8)

The is due to material accumulated and dropped from a vent in the mold located where the hatch is cut. Very common to see a lump or thicker patch in this area. We sometimes grind it down a bit if really uneven.
