How do I replace the "rudder up" cord on my Revolution?

Just a thought about feeding the spectra line through the plastic tubing.

Consider using a 2' length, of AWG-24 (0.020" OD) SS safety wire used as a "fish". The wire is very stiff and you can bed over one end into a very small hook to snag the spectra.

If you feed/poke the wire through the spectra close to the start end, the hook will hold on to the spectra while it's fed through the plastic tubing.

This could work, would need like you said very think wire, but it would still snag at the aft exit nipple.

Just like most things, first time is a learning curve. Next time for when my steering or Rudder up break I will certainly take the guidance tube apart and out of the hull. after joining the control extension piece to the control line piece with loop to loop, take the tag end of the control line, feeding the control line in from the fwd guidance nipple by itself, then the wide open tube then out of the wide open aft end of the guidance tube, then o-ring, then small inner nipple and finally large outer nipple. This allows for for a clean loop-to-loop splice w/o the need of mono or steel wire.
