On freshwater fishing of which is what I've mostly done thru my years and much of it was done doing tournament bass fishing there was a general consensous that a white colored lower hull(below the rub-rail) was more fish friendly thus my choice for a boat color boat as has been stated color is safety also and my wife felt better about the yellowish tone because of that if your gonna be out in the salt mostly I would not concern myself with what the fish think and go for safety 1st then fish friendly 2nd if it was a freshwater rig like mine I'll always think fish friendly 1st.
