All,
When was the term "Oasis" used to describe the tandem Mirage kayak?

Don't believe is was named Oasis when it came out in 2000?, but there was a major change in the boat around 2008 or so, when the front hatch, changed, and addition of the hatches in front of the seat and the hull design changed.

Looking to update my history.

The Oasis is currently on it's fourth (hull) version, all with the same basic length and width dimensions. 8)

Based on our records, it looks like there are some Oasis hull numbers dating back to 2001. Prior to this was the "Tandem".

The first "Oasis" we bought (then known as the "Mirage Tandem") was a 2001 model built in 2000. It was the only tandem Mirage Drive at the time. It was renamed the Oasis concurrent with the introduction of Hobie's second tandem, the Outfitter.

Other introductions (year models) -- Outback 2003, Sport about 2004, Adventure 2006, Outfitter 2006, Adventure Island 2007 and inflatables 2008 and 2009. The year model starts the previous year (like with cars) so some of these were available slightly earlier. 8)
