Last night I had our Mirage drives out for a cleaning and lubrication (Roadrunner's voice was in my head nagging me) and I noticed that the center pin (the part that locks in the click 'n go clips) was off center on my drive. It's sticking out an extra 1/4" on the left side of my drive.

I was thinking that this was the reason I had a helluva time getting my drive to lock in when we were out over the weekend.

Is this something I can fix with some taps with a hammer?

Yup, just tap the drum shaft till it looks visually centered. Don't twist the shaft any and you'll be just fine.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot tonight. This weekend we're trying our first "big water" trip out on the Puget Sound.
