Yesterday I had a chance to look over a new 2010 Sport. I noticed no big changes but several small improvements, most of which are likely to appear on other models as well.
The pedals have rubber pads, better on bare feet. The new catalog also shows these available as an upgrade.
The pedals have a small bungee keeping them upright.
The large cleat on the right side near the drive unit is gone.
The paddles have composite shafts.
The seat back has an inflateable lumbar support.
The seat has the "adjustable" seat posts that clamp in to the hull sockets. They should be a solid solution for those who have been having problems with the seat not staying in place. These are also listed in the new catalog. It appears they could be retrofited on the older seats but maybe not. Matt, can these new posts be installed on the '09 style seats?
The midship grip has been replaced by the molded model used on some of the other boats. This is the only improvement that I personally don't care for as I have found the older round grip a convenient place to mount my GPS and mainsheet cleat but most people will probably like the molded one better.
All-in-all some nice changes. I especially like the seat and pedal improvements.
