I got an Odyssey about 8 years old several weeks ago. The first time we went on the lake, I found a leak at the front.

After some investigation, I found out the leak is from the hole where the front rope handle goes. I took out the handle, and I can see there is a hole there (hole in hole). I also found that the hole is filled with some kind of glue, not the hull material (HDPE). I can see there is a patch of glue from the inside (it would show at the nose tip, and It thought it was mud earlier). I am also of the belief that the glue was not a fix, but rather part of the original design/build.

I used the 3M DP-8010 to fix a crach at the foot well, but not sure how to fix a hole in a glue.
What kind of glue should I use?
Should I take our the original glue patch? It is hard since I can hardly rech it. Nice to have longer arms.

Can't imagine a handle being much of a leak area, but simple adhesive sealant should fix something like that. How about a photo of the area? I can't recall the setup from 8 years ago at the moment.
