thats what the disclaimer should be. I just got the AI finally,,,not the money but the commitment and,,,,,,,Guts,,,Bravado!!!. I have a Revo and am no novice to big blue as I'm a retired Navy man,,,but the AI is Diff. I took her out and she seduced me to go deep. After tacking and trolling I found myself 24mi out when I checked my GPS. I nearly threw up,,, major rush,,,I could taste the adren. Freaked. I fished a wreck and loaded up on trigs. I was between calling the CG and dealing with it. Wierd,, Its as if the boat told me to settle,,,quit freaking..The wind prevails out of the South here and I loaded the sail, pointed due north and went for home. She took off and ran with it. Incredible,,, yet DANGEROUS!!!!

Only after I had confirmed my position location to land sighting, and was able to do a time vs distance. When I was sure a had my beach position before nightfall, yes I had the SEG. Up until that point it was "OH OH, Might have really F&^%ed up this time."

I can't imagine being 24 miles out to sea in a kayak. Wow.

Even that 59 dollar cheapo gps at BassPro would give you an arrow to destination.... I don't go in waters that can get me behind weeds and land cover without my gps to help me find my way back. Especially after dark when I can't see squat... ha...... Glad you did ok Sammy.

That would scare me too in a plastic yak powered by me if the wind died.
