New stuff will be announced at the OR (Outdoor Retailer) show in two weeks.

Hey Matt,

Will you be able to create a thread in the forums with any of the differences... you know... for those of us who won't be making it to the show?

I am about to pull the trigger on a 2010 Sport, but holding off to see if there are any innovations that are worth waiting for. The Outdoor show is now over - could we please get that info now, like right now? Thanks :?:

The suspense is too much, I was planning on picking up a Sport on the 21st of this month.
Since the info has apparently be unveiled at the Outdoor Show, can't you share it with us here and now? :?
If not will the dealers have the info at this time or do the have to wait until Sept 1 also.
When do the 2011 models actually reach the dealer's showrooms?
Thanks

Dealers have the info. We are shipping 2011 product.

Reasoning for the delayed formal announcements is that we are an international business. Many dealers around the World sell 2010 product through the rest of the year. They start getting new stuff much later, so we are sticking to the Sept 1st official timetable for publication of new product info. for their benefit. All dealers have access to the new info as of last week.

Thanks for answering all my questions Matt.

Though I am not yet a Hobie owner, I am getting a strong impression from these forums that Hobie's customer support is outstanding.

I spoke with a Hobie dealer. Apparently the only across the board change for Hobie Mirage Kayaks is a larger, easier to use steering handle (I assume that means rudder control). Some of the Tandems are getting more significant changes - since I am not interested in a Tandem, I didn't get the details. But the retailers do have the details. Also the prices will go up about 3% on most of the 2011 models.

Fisherbob: I already did the test pedal, but hung onto my wallet - at least the 1st time. Now I am ready to take bids... :)
