Hey Matt,

I know from looking around this forum that you are the one I need to talk to.

I have purchased a Hobie 04/05 Outback. The previous owner reported very little leakage, however...... he was probably 60 pounds lighter than me. I took mine out this weekend for the first time. I've got to tell you...... I was NOT impressed - most notably with the stability compared to my other 3 kayaks. When we returned to shore - I think I found the reason why. It had a LOT of water in it. I noticed that the "water line" when I was on the water was an inch or more above the drive well. Anyway......... I think this explains the instability. I hope so anyway. Most of the guys that I know that use them rave about the stability.

SO....... HIN# CCMAS3760404

What are my options? I've noted a Reinforcement Kit....... I've also noted a pro rated 6 year Warranty.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Who you need to contact is a dealer to file a claim. We may consider a pro-rated cost on a replacement hull if this is the type of damage noted in previous posts on the subject.

Thanks you Matt. I'll initiate that process this morning.
