I'm sure that everyone who is a member of this forum is already aware of Hobie's outstanding customer support but I just thought I would give another example of their pride in their product and reputation. I bought an outback from craigslist that appeared to be in practically unused shape. On my first trip with it I noticed a concerning amount of water inside the boat and even more alarming on my second trip. I did a leak check and sure enough there was a crack in the boat in the mirage drive area (a known manufacturing shortcoming that was recalled and warranty extended by Hobie). Well the guy I bought it from didn't care (obviously) but Hobie did. My local dealer sent in a warranty request and Hobie honored it and I now have myself a brand new 2012 outback. All things considered, if I had it to do all over again, the few dollars I would have saved does not make up for the hassle and worry over whether or not I just bought an anchor or a boat and I recommend buying a new one from a dealer, but what outstanding support! That is how you make a customer for life and a mouthpiece for all things good about Hobie. Thank you Hobie!

Awesome! Hobie was great to me with a broken paddle on a Hobie Revolution. I've since bought an Adventure Island, and a Bravo, and have plans to move to another Wave or Getaway after this one. It's the simple things that make, not only customer's for life, but also spokespeople who will gladly help sell their products!

I've been a Hobie mirage drive owner since 2006, without a doubt Hobie stands 100% behind it's product, they put their customers forst and they will always have me for life. I've owned The Adventure, outback, sport, and now the Pro Angler. Without question my next kayak will also be a Hobie. The customer support is second to none, and the product itself is peerless. If you want a step in the right direction by a Hobie, you cannot go wrong.

Hobie has always been fantastic about caring for me as a customer all the way down here in NZ. The AI hull and the 2nd hand hull had to be replaced due to cam bolt cracking (N.B. this is no longer an issue with the redesigned click-down drive system) and Hobie responded without quibble.

This is more than excellent customer service: it is, quite simply, the best customer service I have ever experienced or been able to provide.

Here in NZ, where Hobie Kayaks are VERY expensive compared with locally made paddleyaks, I hope that my experience of Hobie's after sales support will inspire confidence in any other people in New Zealand (or elsewhere for that matter) who are weighing up the premium price of the Hobie product against the price of whatever other products are available in their local market.

I agree, outstanding support for their products and in answering questions.
Great to see Hobie's are made in the USA, there are continuing product improvements and many long time returning customers.
