Transporting outback

How far apart should I have the crossbars on my rack to transport my outback? Just put this rack on the jeep pick the kayak up soon.

The distance you have them look just fine. Basically you want the yak resting on the wider area i.e. the side trays rather than the nose/hatch area in font or around the rudder in the back. I carry my Outback on cradles, hull down, on the roof rack which are super secure and on bars, hull up on my trailer.

I'm thinking about transporting my new Outback, bottom side down on a trailer with 2" pvc pipe as bunks lined up to rest in the channels either side of the center keel. Does anyone see problems with this method of transport?
