Protective cover saltwater spray Lowrance unit on Hobie AI?

A warm greeting from Holland to all you Hobie fans out there!

I am looking for a solution to make a protective cover against (salt)water spray to protect the backside of my Lowrance HDS 5 fishfinder & GPS unit, which I use for fishing and sailing on my Adventure Island. I'm thinking of a sort of rubber sealing cover that one could easily pull over the backside of the Lowrance unit; does anyone have experiences with any such cover? Or with any other protective device? Any ideas, photos etc very welcome!

I fill the unused ports with silicon adhesive and the used electrical ports with dielectric grease. That's a good start. I transport my fish-finder in a gallon zip-lock plastic bag, which I also use to cover it, using Velcro around the base, during launches and landings where the shore break is up. Hope this helps.

I used a polythene bag (off a roll of kitchen food bags) and a rubber band to protect mine on the way out/in through the break. Couldn't use the fishfinder while it was covered though, but it was a cheap and effective way of stopping the FF from getting soaked at the start & end of the day.

Thanks for the tips & tricks, but I'm looking for a way to give the backside of the fishfinder/GPS unit a better protection against the large amounts of (spray) water that it gets soaked in during sailing and in choppy conditions on the Adventure Island. It's a shame to risk ruining such a fine and expensive set..
