Hull strength

Read some back posts on hull leaks developing around mirage drive areas.
There were on a 05 & earlier models. Has the 06 models been strengthend?
Also is the hull kit needed when installing turbo fins? I have the Outback SUV, only a month old. Do I need to be concerned with this issue?

I have seen the posts about hull cracks but mine has been crack free.
I have a blue '05 Outback with the turbo fins installed for over two months with no issues.
I did order and install the drive well stengthening kit last week just to be safe.
I like the over all speed gain with the turbo fins, I have the adjustment scews set pretty loose so that there isn't that much more resistance when pedaling slowly, maybe I am used to them all ready?
