i have an older style hobie kayak cart that is in need of a new wheel.

This is the cart
shot of the working wheel

Will the current generation wheel fit on my old cart? and are the wheels the same diameter?

and i accidently dropped one of these screws into the puget sound, does the current wheel design still use one of these screws to keep the wheel from sliding off? How can i get one of those if so.

Yes, you can use the current standard wheel. You need to create a spacer (plastic or vinyl tubing works) to push the wheel outboard.
