Has anyone experienced a problem with the set screw on drive pushing forward against the hull preventing drive from being removed as needed.

My dealer has been great. He tuned it up and it worked fine for a couple months of weekly use. This past weekend it started acted up again. Set screw hampered performance if drive and wouldn't allow me to pull out. For some reason issues come up on really windy days where more demanding pedaling is required.

I am sending him the drive and he is shipping me a new one. I've used my other drive from my pa 12 and it worked fine. Could there be an issue with my outback hull causing this ?

Just sounds like the set screw for the shaft is backing out and allowing the sprocket shaft to shift. Keeping the set screw in place can be loc tite or epoxy, but if the spine is cracked at the screw... you could need a new spine.

In any case... this is not normal at all.
