Ok I have been a Hobie tandem owner (outfitter then a PA) for about a year now and I still fight with always moving my drives around. How do you store them both in transit, home between outings and winter. I currently leave them on the deck of the yak in the garage and throw them in the back of the truck for transport.

I am thinking about a foot locker (rubbermaid ones) to put 2 drives in and life vests (normally take about 6 to cover all my bases) then making some sort of rack at home to hang them to dry and keep them out of the way between outings. What do ya'll do? Anybody have a cool rack or does everyone just use a hook on the wall.

I keep my Outback on a Yakima trailer alongside the cargo pod. I put the drive in the pod. I put three plastic tubs in the pod to store the various small bits and pieces (used cut down cat litter containers). Cut a notch out of the side of a couple for the center portion of the drive to fit into so the blades lay across the top of two of the containers and the pedals off the end.

For my TI I have so far just kept everything (seats, pedals, jackets...) behind the seat of my truck so I have less to shuffle about. Pretty much just hitch the trailer, grab the hakas and a small step ladder, and go! It's quite a pile behind the seat - tend to have a small avalanche trying to drag things out...

I just bought a car topper for my trailer for trying to get the 2 vantage XT seats out of the back of my truck. i think there is room under the seats for the drives but they will still slide around (like they do in the back of my truck). Still working out a rack thing...
