I just purchased two Outbacks and being completely new to kayaking am hoping I can get some assistance. In order to haul the boats, I'm looking at the Rhino Rack Vortex 2500 roof rack along with the folding J-Style kayak carrier and extension to allow two boats to be transported.

My question is this.........is it ok to haul the Outbacks on their side? I was informed by the salesman that they need to be transported and stored upside down, but I don't see any way of hauling both of them upside down. I know there are truck bed racks, but that's not an option for me.

Thanks!

J-style will be the best option for you. There should be no adverse effects on the kayaks unless you have them strapped down way to hard & leave them up there for way to long.
