New Hobie Anglers--Custom 2016 Outback

Decided to get into kayak fishing. Picked up a 2016 PA-14 and figured I needed my fishing buddy to join me so I bought my son a 2016 Outback for his 14th birthday. I really wanted one of the orange limited editions but missed the opportunity. My local outfitter said they do custom jobs all the time. It turned out so good I wanted to post a picture. They did a bang up job putting in the square hatch, turbo fins, large rudder, etc to match the limited edition; they even put a nice trolley and spiced it up with blue paracord to match. They weren't sure my choice of the ocean camo marine mat would look very good but I think it came out spot on and my kid loves it. I got the first catch between the two of us and it was a nice 21" trout. Unfortunately we are terrible fishermen but learning a lot and getting some really good father-son time.

you know the object of the lip clamp is to clamp the fishes lip, not go through it. haha

Topwater treble hook destroyed the lip. It didn't affect the taste at all.
