I installed a Sidekick kit onto my 1015 Revo 13. When I try to insert an aka into the crossbar it will only go partially in; it gets increasingly tight. When there is about one inch left to go the crossbar starts sliding through the mounts, even though the mount screws are fully tightened. It doesn't matter which side or which aka I try, the result is the same. I tried some McLube Sailcote and that didn't help. I can carefully sand the plastic part of the aka to get a looser fit. Before I do that I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and if it was resolved without sanding the crossbar or aka?

Could be one of two things... the center tube is slightly out of round / dented or the plastic ferrule may need to be sanded to fit.
