We were fortunate in finding an i12s for a very good price. One very small patch doesn't detract from its rarely used condition. Because of low $ amount invested we want to upgrade to the new. 180 drive system. Key is whether the new drive will fit. If so are there any modifications needed. Thanks to any and all for direction.

You would need to trim off the alignment pins (We do that here for all new i series kayaks).

Thanks Matt and daft. Matt that's exactly what I was looking for. I know you two post up a myriad of solid and informative advice. You're right daft I've been perusing this forum, especially the inflatable section, for a few weeks now. Thus far there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 dozen saved forum topics and replies. Thanks again gents.
