Hi all,

Thought I'd share my creation here in case anyone ever asked themselves if this can be done
The rack fits 4 kayaks comfortably, both my Hobie Mirage sport single seat and the tandem Outfitter as well as the two tandem Emotion Spitfires 12T.
I've driven with it over 200 miles this past weekend on our way to Lake Cachuma and back, had the truck a little over 70 MPH w/o any problems (it's a giant diesel, problems not expected..) and felt as secured as it gets.
The rack includes Steel cables attached with carabiners to the kayaks as an anti-going-forward under emergency braking device, and with the addition of two ratcheting straps the kayaks are really going nowhere -

With foam padding added -

You can see the Steel cable (with Yellow coating) in the this pic -

All loaded and good to go home -

Enjoy!
