I wanted to check-in with other Passport owners to see if they've noticed this on their boat yet. After about 12 hours of use, I noticed that the protective black wear pad that the seat sits on is already wearing away and allowing the seat frame to dig into the kayak. The black adhesive foam pad was put there by the manufacturer for a reason and now I see why. In the meantime, I'll try cutting a small piece of 1/4" PTFE that I have and make a protective pad so the damage to the kayak plastic will slow down. So far, only the starboard side of the kayak has been etched but it's starting to work through the port side as well. Including some pictures:

Let me know if you're experiencing the same thing, fellow Passport users.

I asked the engineers and they say the EVA foam there is only cosmetic, so not a structural concern.
