I have a 2016 Revo 13. I'm wanting to add a paddle bungee to the left side so I can keep my stake out pole or gaff there. I have seen the aftermarket paddle bungee kits and that is an option but wondering if there's a way to install a Hobie paddle bungee kit? I know it would have to be a thru hull attachment. I've looked and can't find anything specific for this.

Thoughts?

Using the other side as a template, I would use a couple of small padeyes to anclor your bungee. A simple knot should work with a little heat treatment to keep the bungee from unraveling and set the knots.

Use an identical eyelet post as you see on the other side.

For a forward support, I like an an arrangement like this:

In your situation, perhaps a small plexiglass or plastic wedge under the strap to mimic the bump out (my strap comes from a small stainless chainplate), bent at the top, kept short and rounded so as not to catch the paddle or snag you if capsized. What I like about this strap arrangement is, you can temporarily set the paddle down without bungeeing it if the water is calm enough.

A little dab of silicon calk at all your through hull fittings should keep the water out. 8)

Thanks! I'm going to keep my paddle on the right side just adding a bungee to the left side for my gaff when I'm offshore and my stake-out pole when I'm inshore. I know a basic bungee kit will work just trying to keep it looking as factory as possible.
