Hi All,

I have a 8 ish year old Kona, this year for the first time I have noticed two small symmetrical cracks very small about an inch long down each of the drain channels in the middle tray type indent just aft of the cup holder. I have a few questions please.

1. I put some marine/aquarium silicone on them to prevent water getting in. And someone today said that that would cause changes in the plastic such that when/if I choose to weld it, the plastic may not bond. Is that true?

2. What could cause two almost identical cracks in total symmetry like that...could it just be old and stress from Wheels. I usually store it upside down. But this winter I had it on it side, or J hooks in my yard. Could the cold have done that?

I am new to this forum, so I am not sure how to attach a picture.

Thanks

Mark
