This is my first post here. I'm a fisherman from Victoria, Australia. I have been looking for options for a camera mount online, not action cameras but mirrorless cameras. Specifically the Canon R6, so a reasonably expensive bit of kit to have dangling off the front of the kayak. I'm unsure if the standard mounts like Railblaza and Ram would be sufficient for holding this camera which is around 1.5-2kg depending on the lens. I only want it to face me from the center of the kayak as I take photos of fish and will do video handheld. I have considered mast mount options like ram but none of these have a weight guide on what they hold.
If you have any recommendations please let me know.
