Info needed please.

I bought what looks like a Mirage classic, but it is not rotomolded it is a fiberglass of a resin glass hull of some type. It has a bending branches rudder system on it, the strange thing is the lever that controls the right and left on the rudder connects to a stiff rod of some type which connects to the rudder. It appears to be missing some linkage from the rod to the rudder, I am trying to repair it and no one seems to know anything about this kayak. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The very first Mirage was in fiberglass before the molds (for plastic boats) were ready. Just a few were made.

The controls should still be line within a plastic tube inside the hull:
