I bought my OUTBACK in April of this year so that makes it about 6 month old and all ready having to replace one of my steering lines due to frayin , I noticed that the line comes out at an odd angel from the tube , also the plastic/groumet thing is wearing and it comes out at an odd angel from the hull as well any advice or hellp will be greatly appreciated ..

... THANK YOU

That is odd is the line comes out at an angle. It is important to strap the rudder down in transport. I think most wear comes from vibration and wind when driving. How about a photo of the line opening?

Matt I havent had the time to take some pictures , but I will , both *Jay* and I took a look at wher the line comes out and yes it does come out at a very odd angle enough that the one on the left side has worn into the groumet ..

I do starp down the rudder when transporting

I still love my OUTBACK ... :D
