Maintenance Stabilizer for Outback & other? (now w/pics!

I like to work on my Outback on sawhorses but found my yak unstable due to its curved bottom. I found that by mounting a plastic pipe on one sawhorse which feeds through a scupper hole the yak now sits up straight. The pipe is mounted to a threaded pipe base mounted on the bottom of the sawhorse's top. It's easy to unscrew the pipe and use the sawhorse for other things.

- 1 sawhorse with a wood top. The thickness of the wood provides stability to the pipe.

mate, great idea. i am forever working on my sporty. on the trolley in the garage, never thought of the saw horse, nor the idea you have just shown. hope ya dont mind if i use the same get up.

Keeping a Mirage 'stable' for maintenance can be done easily by taking the wheels off of the Trolley (the one with the solid golf cart type wheels) inserting the trolley frame into the yak and using straps/ties /whatever is easiest to fix it to a sawhorse. Much like yur man says but can be done almost anywhere.
