I sure would like a super clean mount ff for my outback. Mounting it off the sail mast maybe. at first I was thinking on the right hand side in front of the trays. But when I get in some serious chop it will get drenched in the drink. or the paddle will get it if it is to far back. Maybe a Ram off of the sail mast mount? What do yall think?

I just mount it under the front hatch bungies. I protect the conntections with dielectric grease. It gets prety wet but keeps on working.

Hi Brazos,

This is how I mounted my combination GPS/FF on my Outback. I used well nuts to bolt the unit to the kayak. and added a rod extender to protect the GPS/Kayak from getting scratched by spinning reels.
