Could someone please give me some advice on which kayak to get for playing in the surf with 2 people. I was thinking the Kona but still not sure. Thank you very much, Brian

I use the Kona for tandem surfing. It doesn't have the capacity or the speed of the Odyssey but I find it more manueverable. The Kona will handle steeper waves also. Niether boat will turn quickly on a wave but Kona will be a little less slow when trying to pull out.

So I guess it depends on the waves you are going to be riding. Slower mushy waves may be better on an Odyssey.

Bcastile, thanks for the info. I think i'm going to stick with the kona. It looks like it will be a little more stable. I just wanted to make sure thank the kona is capable of messing around in the surf. Thanks, Brian.
