What size grommets are in the Hobie tramps and how thick is the foam plug that is in the mast base? Thanks, Bob.

They're #4 spur grommets.

You can get a kit to do 24 grommets (hole punch, dies, 24 grommets/washers with teeth) at McMaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#two-piece-grommets/=bzl06z

They aren't quite the same, since you would be installing with a hammer/die instead of the production bench press that Hobie Cat uses.

The foam plug is about 4" thick.

That's pretty cool... any reason you could not use the stainless ones... aside from being a bit more expensive? I seem to recall some stainless gromets somewhere on a Hobie of some kind...
