I’ve got a new set of factory sails

on order from my local Hobie dealer. My current sails (Carumba) are in great shape for day-sailing, but really out of shape to real performance.
I never worried too much about the battens before because the sails were so old. Now I have some questions. Have the batten lengths for the HC-18 changed over the years with improvements in the sail cut? Is there a current list for the batten lengths and the recommended taper-length for each batten? Is the sail pocket measurement information in the Berman Performance Manual still valid or is there a newer (simpler) technique to adjust the batten for optimal sail shape?
Any help that can let me get the most performance out of my investment in new sails would be great.
