I just bought a 1982(?) H18 (w/o wings), and am wondering if wings from another H18 are transferable? Are any hull modifications required? How do they attach and is there (must be), a method/hinge to allow them to be folded up & inward for trailering? Sorry, I don't have any nearby to examine but I definitely want to get wings and cat trax. I'd also be interested in meeting anyone in the Florence/Myrtle Beach, SC area who might be interested in sailing or sharing use of this boat... ideally someone who lives on or nearer to a good body of water than I do.

Congratulations on your purchase! No hull modifications required but my understanding is with an older boat such as yours, you would need to do some minor modifications (drilling) to your crossbars in order to attach the wing hardware. My '82 doesn't have wings either but I know somebody who does and this is what he told me. All of the wing attachment points are on your crossbars.
