I've borrowed the Aquata Equipe XT and spent a good amount of time in it on the wire... I'm ready to buy my own decent harness.

The Hobie Full Auto harness looks to be the same thing. Is it a clone, or a rebadge or what?

Can anyone compare the Equipe XT to the Hobie Full Auto and to the Ronstan Racing Trapeze harness...?

Thanks.
Rob

I've had my Hobie Full Auto Harness for about 10 years and really like the way the spreader bar attaches with the ratchet mechanism. Makes it easier to get on and off compared to one with lots of straps. Also fewer straps to snag on things. The only thing it doesn't have is a safety release mechanism. The rest of my family has the Gil Harness with the Quick Release spreader bar. It seemed to be the best quick release spreader bar on the market at the time. It is a good spreader bar, from a safety standpoint, but needs too many straps for my liking. The EQUIPE XT looks to have the best of both worlds. I think I would go with the EQUIPE XT.
