A couple questions, please.

1. What is the proper length of the rear H-18SX shock cords w/hooks as we need to replace both.

2. I believe that there are different types of black shock cords we have bought from Hobie dealers. Is there a standard black shock cord that is best for H-18SX use?

Thanks.

John, there are several types of bungee out there. Get the one with UV resistant cover, it will last longer and holds the metal clips( forgot what they are called) better. I think West Marine has it or Layline.

The Hobie 18 trapeze shock cords are 1/4" diameter and 7 feet long.

We sell only UV protected shock cords. Years ago they were nylon covered which burns up sooner. These days they are polyester covered and UV coated.
