Hi All,
Just fitting out my new (to me) Hobie 18.
I like inspection plates, especially near the rudder, would like to stiffen up the rudder bolts if possible.
Viking Marine used to make contoured deck plates but I found out they are out of business.
Anyone else make 4" contoured deck plates? Other suggestions?
thanks all

As far as I know, no one is making contoured plates anymore. Only option would be to use a flat plate and you’ll have to fill in the gap between the plate and deck with thickened epoxy.

If putting a plate at the stern, center it between the rear crossbar and the transom. This way you will have access to both the rudder bolts and the rear crossbar attachment points (two potential problem areas).
